📘 JHS-1 Term 1 – Course Summary

1. English Language

This course builds foundational communication skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Students learn basic grammar (nouns, verbs, adjectives), sentence construction, comprehension strategies, and vocabulary development. Emphasis is placed on correct pronunciation and simple composition writing.

2. Mathematics

Students are introduced to core mathematical concepts including whole numbers, basic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division), fractions, and simple problem-solving techniques. The course focuses on logical thinking and accuracy in calculations.

3. Integrated Science

This subject introduces learners to basic scientific concepts covering living and non-living things, the human body, environment, and simple scientific investigations. Students develop observation, classification, and inquiry skills.
